Finally the doors open and to my disgrace they take our whole ticket! Now I know why I scan my tickets! I went straight to the merch table...Sorry couldn't get pics! But they have an old style grey girls shirt with just the frogstomp style writing on the front! (boys version too) A black girls shirt with the Young modern album cover design and dates on the back (boys version too), A black shirt with grey/white YM lines. and lots of Dappled City Flys stuff too.
My sister Kate and I made a bee line to the bar to get a drink!
So we went into the mosh pit, and waited until dappled City Fly came on.
Now that was a band I could have done with not seeing! Sounded like a flock of seagulls dying!
I am quite glad they had 2 big screens on either side of the stage, as it was quite hard to see over the 6 foot guys in the mosh pit! ( I was even in heels)
Silverchair's preshow music came on and I won't spoil it for others but not what I expected...You should have heard the crowd roar!!!
They started with Young Modern Station. I don't remember the exact set list and will probably miss a few songs. But they played quite alot of the new songs and TTB/SB which Daniel apoligised if he fucked up as they have never played it live. There was something about swans connecting and being manogamous but he was mumbling so I din't get all of it when he introduced it! This one got the crowd in participation mode too, which I was surprised about!
There were a few good moshing songs too. Freak, The Door and The Lever. I thought I was going to break my 7cm heels off my boots moshing so hard!
Daniel said to the audience there are so many good looking people here, but I can see one ugly person and he points around the crowd and then to paul, chris then walks over to Ben! Very funny!
anyway thats my bit! My memory is a bit fuzzy!
